SB QST ARL ARLB097
ARLB097 FCC Declares Communications Emergency

Hams not involved in handling emergency traffic must keep away from
14.265 MHz under an FCC mandatory communications emergency. The
communications emergency was declared to support the Honduras
disaster relief effort.

Under the order, amateurs are required to refrain from using 14.265
MHz (plus or minus 3 kHz) unless they are taking part in the
handling of emergency traffic.

The order, issued November 10 by Deputy Chief Arland K. Van Doorn of
the FCC Compliance and Information Bureau, remains in effect until
rescinded.
