    Welcome to the San Diego Section!

    1) If you are interested in earning your Entry Level Amateur Radio License, Please e-mail me at ad6vi@arrl.org.

    2) If you are already licensed, please join our Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) Program, which meets the 2nd Saturday of each month (October 12th) at Scripps Memorial Hospital Campus, Schaetzel Building, Nobel Room at 8:00 AM 9890 Genesee Ave La Jolla, CA 92037. Scheduled program is a presentation on the Golden Guardian / Great Shakeout Exercise, which will begin on November 13th,

    Park in first lot to the right after the guard shack. Parking is $2.00. Antenna Friendly.

    3) We can use your immediate help at the Miramar Air Show on October 3rd, 4th, and 5th. We need help on the tarmac with lost persons patrols, etc.

    4) We can also use your help at the MCRD Boot Camp Challenge 5k race, where we expect to provide safety related communications throughout the venue. The event will be on the morning and early afternoon of Saturday, October 4th at MCRD
