NORTH DAKOTA: SM, Lynn Nelson - The winter season is upon us and western North Dakota got it's first batch of snowfall. Now's the time to get out and start building those antennas you have been thinking about for the past 10 months. Wrong... Stay inside, read the latest QST magazine or get on the ARRL Website and surf! The ARRL website has many different areas you can use to enhance the hobby. Just look over the site and feel free to give me your comments. Also, the Totten Trail Hamfest was a success with almost 100 hams in attendance. The flea market tables were the highlight along with the burgers at the restaurant. If you didn't attend, make plans for next year just before deer hunting season. Hope all is well at your hamshack and enjoy our hobby! October's net report from Dave-K8BBM: DataNet on 3937 with 31 sessions, 796 check-ins and 15 pieces of traffic, the Goose River Net on 160 meters had 4 sessions, 47 check-ins and 1 piece of traffic and the CDO Weather Net had 27 sessions, 564 check-ins and 6 peices of traffic. Net Alert! - Due to the band conditions on 75 meters in the winter month's, the DataNet has changed it's net time to 5 PM instead of 6:30 PM. 73's Lynn - W0CQ
